Functionality
The Ninja Chef CT805/810/815 blenders are very versatile machines. They are great for making delicious smoothies with a fine texture. They are suitable blenders for processing hard fruits like carrot and kale, and they handle seeds perfectly.
The blenders can easily crush ice. So, you can make iced drinks, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and other recipes. You can also use the blenders for making nut milk, hot soups/beverages, chopping ingredients, grinding/milling, and dough/batter.
The blenders allow you to use automatic or manual functions, depending on how much control you want to have over your blending activities.
Controls
The control panel of the blenders is a touch control panel that is very easy to use once you understand how it works. The control panel features six buttons at the bottom of the panel labeled ‘Power,’ ‘Clean”, ‘IQ,’ ‘Manual,’ ‘Timer+,’ and ‘Pulse’ modes. There is also a dial-up knob, a start/stop button in the control panel center, and an LCD timer.
The Ninja Chef CT805/810/815 blenders are designed with a Smart Vessel recognition system. The unit automatically displays preset iQ Programs exclusive to each vessel (72 oz. pitcher or 24 oz. single-serve cup).
When you attach the 72 oz container to the power base and turn on the power, the IQ programs for the container are activated. The ten preset programs (Flour/mill, Frozen Drink, Extract, Smoothie, Soup, Ice Cream, Puree, Dip/Salsa, Dressing, Nut Butter) are lit up around the knob. To use any of the programs, you just turn the knob to the program you want to use and push the Start/Stop button, and the blender will start running.
There’s a timer for each program, and it counts down on the interface till it finishes. All preset programs use a combination of pulsing, pausing, and blending with varying speed patterns to deliver the best result.
Manual Mode:
You can activate Manual mode by pressing the Manual button, and the ten variable speeds will be lit around the dial knob. Next, push the Start/Stop button to run the blender. Finally, you can turn the dial to select another speed as the blender runs, and you can use the Start/Stop button to stop the mode.
Time+ Mode:
You can use the Time+ mode to activate the countdown timer. Once you push the button, 10 seconds will start flashing on the timer at the corner of the control panel. You can add 10 seconds for up to 2 minutes by pressing the Time+ button repeatedly. Then you select the speed you want and start running the machine. Once the countdown is complete, the blending stops automatically.
Clean Mode:
You can also use the Clean mode by pushing the Clean mode button and pressing the Start/Stop button to run the cycle. The unit stops operating when the process is complete.
When you attach the 24 oz, single-serve cup, the IQ mode will display the preset programs that work with the vessels, such as Frozen Drink, Extract, Smoothie, Puree, Dip/Salsa, and Dressing. Apart from the preset programs for each container, the control panel works the same way for both.
Motor and Blades
The Ninja Chef Series 800 blenders are fitted with a powerful 1500-watt, 120V, 60Hz powerful motor system that allows the blades to rotate at speeds up to 18000 RPMs. The motor base is quite bulky, but it has a simple modern design and an OLED screen control panel. In addition, the motor base has suction cups under it to prevent the unit from moving around while blending.
The blenders also have a safety system that prevents damage to the motor and drive system. If you overload the machine, the system will temporarily disable the motor for approximately 15 minutes to let it cool down.
The 72 oz. blender container is fitted with non-detachable four-prong stainless steel blades that create proper downward suction. According to customer reviews, the Ninja Chef blades are better than the usual Ninja pillar-style blades. However, the blades are very sharp and could injure you if you try to clean the container by hand. The CT815 unit also has a single-serve cup and removable Pro extractor blades assembly.
Container and Accessories
The Ninja Chef CT805/CT810/CT815 blenders come with 72 oz. high-quality shatterproof BPA-Free and BPS-Free Tritan Copolyester pitchers. They are lightweight, shatterproof, stain-resistant, and they look like glass. The containers have clearly marked measurements in liters, milliliters, ounces, and cups.
The pitchers have plastic lids with two clips to lock them in place and a lid cap for adding extra ingredients while you blend or use a Tamper. In addition, the CT810 and CT815 have an additional 24 oz. double-walled on-the-go single-serve cup and spout lid.
The Ninja Chef CT805/CT810/CT815 cannot use other Ninja blenders’ accessories and attachments in terms of accessories.
Care and Cleaning
The Ninja Chef Series 800 blenders are fitted with built-in blades and an improved lid design, making it easy to assemble and use the unit. You just need to attach the pitcher to the motor base and make sure it fits properly. Next, add your ingredients and ensure you don’t exceed the Max Liquid line indicated on the pitcher. Clip-on the lip to the container, and you’re good to go. The blenders have a tamper to help you handle stubborn ingredients.
The blenders have an irremovable blade system and a self-cleaning system, making them very easy to clean. You only need to pour in some warm water in the container, add some drops of soap, select the Clean mode, and start the blender. The blender will stop working when the cycle ends.
All the containers and attachments are dishwasher safe, but you can clean the motor and control panel with a soft cloth to avoid scratching.
