Product Dimensions

The NutriBullet Pro 900 blender has a height of roughly 16 inches with the 32 oz container mounted on its motor base. It also has a length and width of  12.01 and 7.72 inches, respectively. Its total shipping weight is 5.5 pounds.

Functionality

The NutriBullet Pro 900 is a compact, personal blender that is pegged as a nutrient extractor. However, we like to consider it to be a blender that can only do so much.

It is very capable of making most of your favorite smoothie recipes. You’ll get a fine-textured finish blending with soft ingredients, but we see it somewhat struggle dealing with hard fruits. For this, you will need to cut your ingredients into smaller pieces for easy processing.

Moreover, small seeds don’t get pulverized. The skin of some fruits like pears often leaves a flaky texture in the finished smoothies. This blender is also not recommended for puréeing, grinding, and processing hot substances.

So while it has its own limitations, its strong suite lies in making quick and easy smoothies and processing relatively soft ingredients.

You might also ask, ”Can the NutriBullet Pro 900 crush ice?” Yes, it certainly can. But it simply isn’t designed to do so. We recommend that you add liquid into the mix prior to crushing ice or other frozen ingredients. There is also a manufacturer warning against using the NutriBullet as an ice crusher and blending hard ingredients as it may cause damage to its blades.

Controls

The NutriBullet Pro 900 offers little to no control over your blend. Normally, you will expect a blender to have some button controls that give the ability to carry out different speeds or power of blending. This specific blender doesn’t have any of that.

You just have to put the container in place, push it, and twist it to start the blending—operating only at a single speed.

The lack of control buttons and varying speeds suggests that the blender is ideal only for creating smoothies, soups, dressings, and dips.

Motor & Blade

The NutriBullet Pro 900 blender comes with a robust 900-watt motor that gives the blender its name. The blender’s temperature rises quickly when it’s operational, and it’s motor size likely has to do with it. You will need to take a few minute breaks in between blending to let it cool down. The NutriBullet Pro 900 also comes with an internal breaker/heat sensor that cuts off the power when it overheats.

The powerful motor runs a 6-pronged stainless steel blades. However, there had been reports by multiple users that the edges become dull within the first six months of use. Some even claim that the blade breaks into small fragments that could mix in with drinks. While the blades are made of stainless steel, prolonged usage makes it susceptible to rust which could affect the taste of your drinks.

The blade and its assembly are not the most durable out there. You could order replacement parts from the manufacturer at a cost.

Container & Accessories

Depending on the package you choose, the NutriBullet Pro 900 has different sets of containers and cups that go along with it.

With a 9-piece set, you get one (1) 24 oz and one (1) 32 oz cup. While the 13-piece set offers two (2) 32 oz cups. There’s also a 15-piece collection set that has one (1) 32 oz and two (2) 24 oz cups.

Regardless of the package you choose, a NutriBullet cup, motor base, extractor blade, and cup ring come standard in every one of them.

The good thing about having different packages to select from is that you will have the option to pick the package that meets your needs.

All NutriBullet’s containers are made of BPA-free plastic, making them less resistant to cracks resulting from constant usage and accidental falls.

Care and Cleaning

The NutriBullet Pro 900’s simple design makes it easy to clean after use. The cups along with the to-go lids are all top-rack dishwasher safe.

The motor base can be cleaned using a sponge or dish cloth dampened with warm soapy water to wipe down the inside and outside of the motor base until it’s clean.

When cleaning the extractor blades, it is recommended that you do not remove the gasket that goes along with it. Doing so can loosen it and could potentially get damaged or leakage.

Warranty & Replacements

The NutriBullet Pro 900 comes with a 1-year limited warranty. It is also recommended that you register your product through their official website. For this, you will be asked to enter the serial number of your product, along with the purchase date and place of purchase.

NutriBullet Pro 900: Final Thoughts

The NutriBullet Pro 900 is popular for being a great machine capable of making quality smoothies that is perfect for personal use. However, the blender’s functionality is limited. Since there’s no way to adjust speed settings, this makes it difficult to blend hard ingredients or crush ice. Unless you are willing to buy another set of blades, you only have the 6-pronged blades that come with the standard package to work with.

The blender isn’t the best when it comes to durability, but draws its strength in terms of blending performance. The NutriBullet Pro 900 has a 1-year limited warranty, but you still bear most of the cost for repairs and shipping. The plastic cups could crack, the lid could warp, and the blades also could also get dull, damaged, and even start to rust in a short period of time. In our opinion, this blender was designed for short-term light use rather than heavy-duty blending.
