We can’t talk about big and successful blender brands without mentioning Vitamix among the top names, if not the number one. Vitamix blenders are one of the most expensive blenders available, and the quality in the build and overall functionality of the blenders match the somewhat high price.

The Vitamix 6300 model is an upgraded version of the Vitamix 5200 model from the C- series line of blenders, well that is, if you will call the addition of a few preset buttons an upgrade. There is no other noticeable difference between the two models, but we believe that the additional preset buttons can help to achieve even better consistency and textures.

Why should you choose this blender? There are several reasons why and in this article, you will find the answers you need and hopefully clear your doubts.

Functionality

You can blend anything you want with this blender; the compelling power and large pitcher make it possible. The variable speed settings make it possible for the blender to perform the lightest and hardest tasks as you’d like, whether it is making a smoothie, making nut milk or butter, grinding or milling, pureeing or making soup from scratch, ice crushing, or blending frozen ingredients, mashing meat or fish, or mixing better for cakes or pancakes.

The results after processing are unmatched; you won’t find any bits of unprocessed food or any grits in your mixture. The Vitamix 6300 blender can even process seeds to a fine texture that you won’t even notice in your smoothies. In addition, you can make very nice frozen drinks and alcoholic drinks with this blender, including margaritas, cocktails, or just anything. This blender can make mayonnaise for you, even in small quantities. You can make powders from nuts and spices with this blender too.

This Vitamix model can work well with small quantities, unlike most blenders we see.

Controls

Aside from the ten variable speed settings that this blender shares in common with the 5200 model, the blender is designed with three preset programs for smoothies, hot soup, and frozen dessert, and a pulse lever which we don’t find in many models of Vitamix Blenders.

The variable speeds make it possible for the blender to perform variable light and heavy duties, respectively, easily.

Motor and Blade

Motor

The motor is a 1200-watt motor, hence the ability to perform all those tedious functions. The base is sturdy, but with the high power comes a very loud noise. We also found that the base overheats easily. The best advice to reduce noise is to place a rubber matting under the base.

Blade

The gears are made of standard metal, which does wear down easily but improves the usability of the machine. Furthermore, the blades are permanently attached to the jar and are a four-pronged set of thick stainless steel blades that do not get blunt very easily.

Container and Accessories

There are not many accessories included in the Vitamix 6300 set. The tall pitcher is made of quality BPA-free plastic with 64 oz. capacity and is durable. It comes with a tight-fitting lid that has a vent so that you can add ingredients while blending.

Then there is a smaller jar of 32 oz. that can be used for smaller servings or other functions. This smaller jar is not present in any model from the series. They all have a single container, so you can consider it another advantage this blender has over the other.

It also comes with a tamper to help you stir or push down processed food to the blades if the mixture is too thick. Something you would find included in the set that we usually don’t see in most blender boxes we open is the cooking class DVD.

Care and Cleaning

The Vitamix 6300 blender can self-clean if you add water and soap to the jar and run it at high speed or in pulses. If you decide to wash it with your hands manually, you don’t have to be worried because the blades are safe. Another easy way to do it is to place the blender and lid in your dishwasher and let it do the cleaning for you. After washing, let the parts dry before you store them away.

Storing away the blender may be a challenge because it is a tall blender. You can store away in cabinets separate parts or just add to a countertop if the blender can fit on yours.

Warranty and Replacements

The 7-year warranty covering the Vitamix blenders also applies to this blender. The company covers the cost of shipping your damaged item and shipping a replacement part back to you.
