Functionality

The HealthMaster blender is excellent for blending and processing soft and tough ingredients into delicious drinks. You can also use it to make nutritious green smoothies. The blender can pulverize nuts and seeds. However, you may have to process the ingredients for 2-3 minutes for a fine texture. You can use the HealthMaster blender to grind coffee beans and herbs or mill baking flour.

It is not capable of producing juice without fiber. However, it can make perfect whole juices. In addition, the Montel blender is powerful enough to handle frozen ingredients and ice for margaritas and other frozen desserts.

This machine pulverizes nuts into delicious nut milk, and you can also use it to make nut butter with just a little bit of oil or water added. The unit comes with a tamper for thick mixtures.

The HealthMaster Elite blender by Montel Williams has a variety of speed options and a pulse function. So, you can quickly chop veggies for salads, salsa, and marinades. It is also powerful enough to turn raw or cooked veggies into purees.

This blender can handle hot ingredients. In addition, you can heat cold ingredients through friction from the spinning blades.

The HealthMaster Elite is a very versatile machine. It comes with enough power and speed range for demanding tasks or recipes.

Controls

The HealthMaster Elite is equipped with eight different speeds, pulse function, ice cycle, and a unique digital control panel. The control panel has other buttons such as On/Off, Pulse, Run/Stop, Ice, and a digital LED display with two time and two-speed control buttons.

You can turn on the blender with the ‘ON’ button. Set the speeds and time with the controls. When you’re ready, just press the Run/Stop button. When you press the Pulse button, you get pulse bursts. The blender also has an Ice button for processing ice and runs in steady pulse bursts till you press the Stop button.

The HealthMaster blender’s control panel is not very easy to understand and may take some time to get used to it.

Motor and Blade

Motor

This gadget is fitted with a powerful 1200-watts motor that rotates the blades to speeds up to 22,000 RPMs. The unit is also designed with an overheat protection system that cuts off the power for 35 minutes when the motor is overheated.

However, the blender cannot handle heavy loads for a long time, and the motor is not very durable. The bearings at the bottom of the jar are held in place with silicone. The silicone melts under high temperatures, causing the bearings to shift away.

Blade

The motor powers 4-prong serrated blades manufactured from top-quality stainless steel. However, there is a serious flaw with the bearings-to-jar connection. It is not fixed correctly, and it causes the containers to crack and start leaking liquids.

Container and Accessories

The Montel Williams blender comes with a 60 oz. polycarbonate container and an undetachable blade assembly. Unfortunately, the container is not made from high-quality material, and according to customer reviews, it may start to crack within two years of use. The jar has a rubber lid and lock cap that fits perfectly on the jar while you blend. So, you can take off the locking cap when you want to add extra ingredients as you blend.

Unfortunately, you don’t get any extra accessories or attachments with this machine. You can purchase replacement parts from the company. Still, as we mentioned, they are costly, and you might be better off buying a new blender.

Care and Cleaning

The HealthMaster blender is easy to assemble because the blade system is removable. You just have to place the jar on top of the base unit. Once it fits perfectly, the safety weight switch behind the base unit will be activated.

This unit has a plastic plunger designed to help you mix the thick mixture and remove air pockets as you blend.

This blender is very easy to clean, but it is not dishwasher safe. So you’ll have to clean it by hand or with the self-cleanup feature. You’ll just add some drops of soap into the container with some water and run the blender at the highest speed for a minute for the self-cleanup.

Warranty and Replacements

The HealthMaster Elite blender has a 3-month limited warranty, while the motor itself has a lifetime warranty. However, there have been incidents of the company trying to avoid honoring the motor’s lifetime warranty. The manufacturer claims that they no longer use the model your warranty covers and proposes you purchase a refurbished unit instead of fixing or replacing the faulty motor.

The replacement parts are very expensive, and you’ll have to pay the shipping costs, which often cost as much as a new unit. Additionally, the manufacturer also charges you for returning or replacing a faulty item.

  • 60 oz. BPA-free container with a permanently fitted stainless steel blade system;

HealthMaster Elite Blender: Final Thoughts

The HealthMaster Elite blender would have been a great choice if the components were made from high-quality materials and constructed better. However, it is still a multi-functional machine that carries out the same functions you’ll expect from commercial blenders.

It blends tasty smoothies and delicious frozen treats. It can also heat soups from frictions and be used for kneading dough. Unfortunately, the machine does not have a long lifespan. If you don’t mind using a powerful machine that may break down within a short time, it is a great choice. However, you should purchase other durable, powerful blenders within the same price range.
