Functionality

The NutriBullet Pro 900 strikes a perfect balance between size, productivity, price, and blending power. It comes with an effective 900W motor that is excellent for most blending and chopping tasks. It is capable of handling tough fruits and vegetables. The NutriBullet Pro makes fantastic smoothies and juices faster than many gadgets within its category. It also has big containers and durable steel blades; designed for an improved blending and pureeing experience.

On the other hand, the NutriBullet Rx also functions as a blender and juicer. It packs more power than the Pro 900 with a powerful 1700W motor. It is also fitted with improved stainless-steel blades. Additionally, the Rx also features two blending modes that the NutriBullet Pro 900 doesn’t have: soup and smoothie making. The blender is also capable of heating soups.

Controls

In the NutriBullet Rx vs NutriBullet Pro comparison, both blenders have a similar design and have the same blending and milling process. Controlling the Rx is almost entirely automatic and hands-free, but with the Pro 900, you’ll have to hold a button to start the process.

Furthermore, only the NutriBullet Rx can auto blend and has a heater for soups. The base unit has a “G” button located in front of it that activates the heating function. In less than ten minutes, you will have your hot soup ready.

To get ready, fill the blending cup with all your ingredients, and screw on the blade attachment. Once you’re ready to start blending, you push the cup down onto the base and twist to lock it in. When you apply some pressure on the cup, the motor activates, and the blades start spinning. The blending stops when you let go of the cup.

The blender can perform on its own if you press down the cup and twist it to lock, and you can stop it by simply turning the cup in the opposite direction. Although manual controls allow you to have more control over the blending process, pre-programmed functions are more convenient.

Motor and Blade

The NutriBullet Pro 900 has a 900-watt 1.2 horsepower motor capable of producing 25,000 RPM (Rotations Per Minute), while the Rx comes with a 1700-watt 2.3 horsepower motor that delivers 30,000 RPM. The power of the Rx makes it more efficient at creating a smoother and more refined food texture.

In terms of the blade assembly, both models have a similar design. The Pro 900’s blades are a fusion of the extractor and milling blades that come with the earlier NutriBullet 600. The Rx has a slightly different four-pronged blade assembly. You cannot use the blades of the Pro and Rx interchangeably. Also, the Rx blade design isn’t great for milling spices, nuts, and other ingredients.

However, the NutriBullet Pro blades have a unique design for extracting maximum ingredients from the fruits and veggies you are blending. It is capable of blending seeds, skin, tough vegetables, and fruits into delicious smoothies.

The Rx combines its powerful motor and blades to ensure you get the best results from your recipes. Regardless of the fruit or vegetable you want to include in your recipe, the Rx will blend everything into a fine paste.

The Pro 900 is a better option if you’re interested in blending smoothies for just yourself and someone else, while the Rx is excellent for serving an entire family in a single blending session.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning the NutriBullet Rx and Pro is super easy. All their cups have wide openings that allow you to wash them by hand easily. They are also dishwasher and microwave safe. The blades can be cleaned by hand also, but you’ll have to be careful not to injure yourself because they are very sharp.

Disassembling the 72 oz. containers can also be a difficult task. You have to press the release button and lift the handle to a 90-degree angle to the lid. The blades are very sharp and could easily cause an injury, so you’ll have to remove them with caution.

After use, cleaning the Ninja BL660 can be difficult. The lid has a couple of difficult-to-clean gaps if food particles end up lodged there. However, the single-serve cup is a lot easier to clean, thanks to its basic design. All the containers and lids are dishwasher safe.

Warranty and Replacements

NutriBullet Rx comes with a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship apart from shipping and handling costs. You cannot transfer the contract, and it doesn’t cover the commercial use of the unit.

Similarly, the NutriBullet Pro comes with a one-year limited warranty, but you could purchase an additional 4-year limited warranty at the end of the first warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing defects only, and you’ll bear any shipping costs. Normal wear and tear are also not covered by the warranty.
